Bisacodyl

Overview

Bisacodyl is a stimulant laxative used for the relief of occasional constipation. It works by directly stimulating colonic peristalsis, typically producing a bowel movement within 6 to 12 hours after administration. It is available over-the-counter and by prescription in various formulations.
